I've been modeling away at the correct scale and things were going well when I thought that I should do a test print before I go too far. I'm glad I did.
The panel on the left is modeled to the correct scale but with the window bars a little bigger than they should be, the image on the right has the window bars twice the thickness. the problem is they are both too small to print with a 0.4 mm nozzle.
Above are 2 screenshots from simplify3d which I use to control my printers. They are both of the panel with the thicker bars but sliced using different size nozzles, one at 0.4 mm and one at 0.2 mm. As you can see the 0.2 may work, but I don't have any so things are on hold until I get some.
Later I will post how I took an image from Google maps and converted it into a model to build around.
